About Framecap
Framecap is a free screen recorder for Google Chrome, made by Arsalan Ahmed, an independent developer.
It started with a simple need: record a quick video of the screen with my face in the corner, and send it to someone a minute later. Most tools that do this ask you to create an account, upload your video to their servers, add a watermark or stop you after five minutes. Framecap does none of that.
What Framecap stands for
- Your videos stay yours. Recordings are saved on your own computer and never uploaded. There are no servers that could see them.
- Free, with no catch. No watermark, no time limit, no account and no ads.
- Simple to use. Open it, press Start, and you are recording. Everything else is optional.
- Light on your computer. Framecap doesn’t run on the websites you visit and only works when you are recording.
